The video contained on this web page is a transfer from a 16mm film taken by my father some time in the early to mid-1950s. Unfortunately, I am not sure where it was taken. When I found this film it was already probably 30 years old and in very brittle condition. Despite being pretty well versed in the handling of motion picture film, the job of splicing the bits and pieces which I had to work with was no easy one. As well, the transfering of the video tape into a Real Media format also took a lot of work and the final result was less than I had hoped for, but was actually better than the origianl video, as I was able to get it slowed down and color corrected  thanks to some help from a friend who worked pretty hard to make it even close to being presentable. I settled on the Real Media format in order to make this film available for easy download over the Internet as any other format (MPEG or AVI) made for an unacceptable download time.
